VoiceDesk

Privacy Policy

Effective 2 November 2026

VoiceDesk turns your speech into polished text. To do that, your voice recording and the resulting text have to be processed by speech-recognition and AI services. This policy explains exactly what is sent where, what is kept, and what is not.

In short: your recordings and texts are processed only to produce your text and are not stored by VoiceDesk. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and your data is never sold.

Who we are

VoiceDesk is developed by Faridun Rakhmatov and published on the App Store by Anushervon Rakhmatov. Questions about privacy: support@voicedesk.win.

What happens when you dictate

  1. Recording. VoiceDesk uses the microphone only while you are dictating: while you hold the shortcut, or between the clicks that start and stop a recording. The recording is kept in a temporary file on your Mac and deleted as soon as it has been transcribed.
  2. Speech to text. The recording is sent over an encrypted connection to the VoiceDesk service, which passes it to ElevenLabs for transcription, together with the language you chose and the terms in your glossary.
  3. Polishing and translation. The transcript, the current draft, your glossary and the chosen output language are sent through the VoiceDesk service to Anthropic (Claude), which returns the polished or translated text.

The VoiceDesk service passes recordings and texts on and returns the result. It does not save them, and does not write them to its logs. ElevenLabs and Anthropic process them under their own API terms and privacy policies, linked above.

What the VoiceDesk service keeps

To run your account and apply the monthly usage allowance, the service stores:

It does not receive your name, email address, Apple Account details or payment details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple.

The service runs on Cloudflare, which may keep short-lived technical logs (such as the time of a request, IP address and error codes) for security and troubleshooting. These logs never contain your recordings or texts.

What stays on your Mac

Your settings, glossary and, if you leave it switched on, the history of your recent dictations are stored only on your Mac. You can search and clear the history in the app, or switch it off in Settings.

Your choices

Usage records are kept while your account exists and are deleted with it.

If you use your own API keys

The edition of VoiceDesk sold outside the App Store can also be used with your own ElevenLabs and Anthropic keys. In that case recordings and texts go directly from your Mac to those providers, not through the VoiceDesk service, and your keys are stored only in your Mac’s Keychain.

Children

VoiceDesk is a tool for professional writing and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
